Welcome to 28 Bistro & Bar!

We are absolutely delighted to share our journey with you. We have experienced an incredible two and a half years of serving our wonderful guests and it has been an amazing ride!
To enhance your experience even further, we are excited to announce that we have recently upgraded to a larger venue.
This new space allows us to accommodate even more guests, providing a spacious and inviting indoor area where everyone can enjoy our delicious Mediterranean cuisine. We can’t wait for you to join us and create unforgettable memories filled with delicious food, fantastic drinks and exceptional service!

We opened our first restaurant in March 2022.
After 6 months of searching for the right venue in the right part of the city, we stumbled upon a relatively small, empty space with high wooden beamed ceilings & large glassed windows and doors down a little cobbled stoned street alongside other restaurants, bakeries, ouzo shops, butchers and green grocers, and we knew we had found what we were looking for.
We planned, designed, acquired, made and built every inch of the restaurant ourselves with our own hands so to ensure we had complete control over the look and feel of our dream restaurant
We set about planning, tasting and testing menu dishes and wines, and after some very tasty food filled evenings we had our first menu.
We opened our doors on March 25th 2022 and have enjoyed an amazing reception from the residents of Mitilini with continued support from the locals and tourists alike we are proud of what we accomplished.
Now we have moved everything you know and love us for to a bigger venue to carry on doing what we do and more!

Meet the team
We are a husband and wife team with a combined 35 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
I am Adam (co-owner & chef) am an English man from a classically trained chef background with 20 years experience working in kitchens all across the south of England, from small bistros, to village pubs, beach side cafes and large celebrity chef owned restaurants.
My passion for cooking is pure and simply about taking great simple ingredients, treating them with respect and turning them into something delicious for our guests.
The joy I get from making and seeing people happy from eating my food is the number one thing that has kept me going all these years and it continues to do so.

My wife Kalliopi (co-owner & restaurant manager) is a born and bred Lesvian from right here in Mitilini.
she moved to England 10 years ago to study architecture and whilst waiting tables to keep her going through university fell in love with the hospitality industry, and since then she has worked in and managed many different large scale successful restaurants ever since.
After crafting her skills she turned her attention to mastering the art of drinks and bar work to which the passion for mixology thrives to this day, come in and try one of our fantastic cocktails and see for yourself.
